I almost died from eating a peanut so I vibe coded an app to help me
- marcinuio 1y agoYou know that person who asks 4x if there are nuts in the cookies? - that’s me. Not because I’m picky, just trying not to die in your living room. So here’s the deal: You set your allergens or any food sensitivites Upload or snap a pic of any food label The app analyzes and translates it if needed (even Japanese) Detects allergens & tells you if it’s safe to eat Amazing, right? I’ll be cleaning up some UI bugs, improving the analysis screen animation, publishing (learning) to the App Store soon. https://allergy-scanner.created.app https://allergy-scanner.created.app
- namaria 1y agoWhat happens if it makes a mistake and someone dies?
- marcinuio 1y agoDisclaimer This app is intended for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. While we strive for accuracy, the Allergy AI Scan may not detect all allergens or health risks. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns. By using this app, you agree that the developers and associated parties are not liable for any decisions made based on its results.
- MrGuts 1y agoThen put in a support ticket, and we'll call you later.

- NotGMan 1y agoHealth critical apps are the last ones that should be vibe coded. This is pathethic and any kind of "we're not medical professionals" disclaimers should be void in stupid and actually dangerous apps like this.
- marcinuio 1y agoDo not know if you suffer from any allergies, but I do and trust me, any tool that provides me with some help on decision making is so important
