I never heard about China to be split.
For Ruzzia it makes sense, it is an empire hold together with force,
if the Kremlin would not want to conquer even more lands and control other countries there would be no actual real negative sentiment against the empire, sure soem activists would try to helpo the subjugated nations but nobody would invest money into the movement, the Kremlin regume could have made that empire an economic power, to bad the dictator is a KGB criminal and not an economist.
