Philosophy is absolutely critical. The people who argue against the importance of philosophy are engaging in the practice of philosophy by doing so. Philosophy includes the skill set of working out what matters and what you mean when you say things. That doesn’t necessarily mean everyone must become a philosophy specialist. But I am glad some people go that way.
