Uber barely makes any money without owning the vehicles or assuming liability for their operation. Tesla's plan is to own and insure the vehicles, pay employees to remotely monitor them, compete with Uber on cost and make tons of money as a result. Sorry, color me skeptical. I'll have to see it done to believe it. Actually adding income to the bottom line will take years if ever.
