So is it like the DoD who decided we can't have too much VRAM in widely available GPUs and influencing AMD/Intel/nVidia or what?
- rasz 1y agoBack in 2001 Nvidia GPUs topped out at 64MB https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce3-ti500.c741 https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce3-ti500.c741 but that didnt stop vendors from offering bottom of the barrel low end models with very same 64MB https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/msi-geforce2-mx-400-64-mb.b10773 https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/msi-geforce2-mx-400-64... Not only same type of ram, but even the bus width is the same.
