Am interested in the DC-AC—DC- Battery-AC vs DC-DC-Battery-AC efficiency argument. As in there must be a DC-DC conversion happening to charge batteries appropriately.
- davedx 1y agoStepping voltage up or down isnt as lossy (or expensive) as converting from AC<->DC
- rssoconnor 1y agoAs someone not into electronics, can you explain how that works. I'm only familiar with transformers which, of course, require AC?
