Google, and the tech industry in general, has erased all trust I have in their ability to actually keep something confidential. They don't want to, and so they won't. If they don't use some legal workaround to consume it from the outset, they'll just roll out an automatic opt in service or license change after you've already loaded all your data in. It's negligence to trust any confidentiality provided by big tech, and they well and truly deserve that opinon.
