New South Wales Police in Australia had a similar occurrence a few years ago, where an officer tased a 95-year-old dementia patient holding a knife while hobbling along with a walking frame. She died. The officer was charged and found guilty of manslaughter. He was sentenced in March to 425 hours of community service.
