Should App.net change its name?
- andy_herbert 14y agoI've got to admit this was my first thought too, but I think the scope of the business is to provide the plumbing for apps, rather the just a Twitter replacement.
- Turing_Machine 14y agoGiven that when I first heard of it I assumed it had something to do with the new Windows 8* app store, yeah, it's confusing. * Or whatever it's called now.
- Turing_Machine 14y agoThey could see if Microsoft wants to buy the name. :-)
- kgarten 14y agotrue, working mostly with unix, this possibility did not occur to me. Still it's pretty obvious ... Maybe Dalton should rename app.net in metro ;)
- mindctrl 14y agoIf they're going to be a consumer product, they should definitely change their name. It's a terrible name for a consumer product. It's too geeky. If they plan to be an infrastructure company whose name isn't uttered by normal everyday people, then it's a good name.
