Thx, there is a graph for embodied cost at the start of page 3 and figure vary wildly.
The biggest drive at the time was 3840GB, and its production emitted ~425kg.
But if we look at the more prevalent models the emission vary widly: for 512: between ~25 to 225kg and for 1024 from ~60 to 275kg.
And while the paper start with the assertion that manufacturing a Gigabyte
of Flash emits 0.16 Kg CO2, I expect emission to be highly dependent on the number of flash module and not so much on the capacity itself.
