  This is from last year. I got baited by the ABC homepage as well. I don't understand why they re-posted it - felt kind of misleading in a way.

    Lol yea. I was shocked considering I live here and heard nothing. Figured it out after the second sentence calls the PM a "he" when the current PM is a woman (Paetongtarn Shinawatra).

  Even if the news is old, wondering what is wrong with cannibis. Why is it still banned in most countries - even in many states in USA?

    If you grew up being told that cannabis is dangerous drug, you might not want to change the opinions. And if you have vague sense of cannabis being used by the kind of people you want to punish/mistreat anyway, then you will be motivated to make it illegal.

      Makes sense. If you don't have enough criminals already, make an effort to build up the supply. I guess that would be considered more efficient government.
