- tasuki 1y ago> Are you able to access them on your phone? Yes, with caveats. I actually publish my wiki on the web with about fourty lines of bash to transform the Markdown into a static HTML website[0]. So I can access it through the web browser. When people ask me for recipes or whatever, I can just give them a url. I host one of my git remotes on GitHub (an extra backup, a service which is usually up and gives me a way to sync my notes should all my other devices be offline). I understand and admire that you didn't want to do that. Probably it's possible to install git on a phone and use a markdown editor? I don't particularly trust my phone tbh. Certainly not enough to put my git signing key on it! [0]: https://github.com/tasuki/vitwiki/blob/master/build.sh https://github.com/tasuki/vitwiki/blob/master/build.sh
- deafpolygon 1y agoThis is what I've switched to doing -- just pushing to my phone as a viewer; I realized that I don't write/think on my phone at all. It's just too annoying, but I do like having certain things (like recipes) on hand.
