The customer has to want to do it, unlike work software your employer chooses. That sets a higher standard for UI. Game UI also has to have easy discovery of features, controls, and game mechanics and games also have integrated tutorials which are themselves presented through game play. A game developer has to really care about the player at a level often not required of business software devs.
