I can 100% empathise with this. I have HA, but I used it for a custom application that relies on some integrations with Home Automation stuff (Lights, Sensors) As an accidental outgrowth of that I was also able to automate the lights to aid my child in keeping a good bedtime routine. But its certainly not the reason I bought all the doohickeys.
