- jeffdavis 14y agoA lot of features have been driven by users saying that postgres needs to solve something. Replication in core is the most obvious case. Index-only scans are another example. If you want a zillion more, read old tech discussion about postgres and see how many of those issues have been fixed. I'll tell you two things that MySQL does right that postgresql doesn't: checksums and ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE.
