- Cordiali 1y agoA legal resolution would establish which country has owned it the entire time the conflicting claims have been around, not just from that point forward. So it's not really unclaimed, it's just Schrödinger guest starring in an episode of the hit TV show, The Westphalian Wing.
- MichaelZuo 1y agoThat’s an interesting thought but is that actually true? International treaties usually aren’t retroactive.
- RetroTechie 1y agoLoved the part where it described all the previous 'emperors', 'kings' etc, who had claimed the area without ever setting foot there. Come on... boots on the ground or it doesn't count. And I'd prefer any interested parties consider themselves "caretaker" rather than "owner". Care for the land & its inhabitants, and (maybe) you can carry the title. Rape it, and you have no business being there.
