It feels like the result of people just going with the [digital] flow instead of asserting an opinionated stand, combined with the unrestrained gauche of the surveillance-tech industry. Is it a full service sit down restaurant, a bar, or a traditional postpaid food delivery driver? No? Then no tip, regardless of how many nags I'm forced to experience. This is probably unfair to baristas and others I'm missing, but I'd rather err on the side of false negatives than support the trend of it growing.
