Hear hear! Some of these complaints have been resolved with numpysane: https://github.com/dkogan/numpysane/ https://github.com/dkogan/numpysane/ . With numpysane and gnuplotlib, I now find numpy acceptable and use it heavily for everything. But yeah; without these it's unusable.
- alanbernstein 1y agoThanks for the link, I have also grumbled about these issues, but never thought to look for a workaround library on top of numpy...
- spott 1y agoMost of numpysane seems to be doing a loop in Python. It isn’t true vectorization.
