It's much easier, secure and cheaper to pay a bus driver, it's a political issue not a technical one
- rsynnott 1y agoEh. If this were possible, transport system operators would jump on it. Availability of bus drivers is the main operational constraint on many systems. However, it's really very far from being a practical reality; driving a bus is much more difficult than driving a car, and the consequences if you screw up can be far, far worse. Buses are very big and dangerous.
