Three-Quarters of US Auto Execs Think Chinese Cars Will Be Sold Here
- jqpabc123 1y agoThree quarters of US auto execs know something that Trump doesn't --- isolation has never worked over the long term and is a prescription for a less prosperous, less relevant, less GREAT society. Instead of (or in addition to) tariffs, what the US should be focusing on is education and robotics. A highly trained/educated workforce in a mechanically enhanced industry is the only way to negate the cost advantage of the Chinese. Isolation is for idiots.
- bediger4000 1y ago> A highly trained/educated workforce There's lots of societal and ideological forces working against this. A highly trained/educated workforce can and does notice problems with creationism, for example.
- jqpabc123 1y agoAnother plus for Chinese --- less encumbered by ignorance and superstition/tradition.

- topspin 1y agoThis is a strange story. Writing something like this with no mention of the fact that China is already manufacturing cars sold in the US, such as the Buick Envision, is difficult for me to understand.
