The whole argument is flawed, there is no balance, no mention that there are at least some people who are genuinly empathetic ,compasionate, and able to hear others, and offer real eficatious advise.....or not.....as there is a great deal of malingering ,validation seeking, compensatory permission seeking, and other maladaptive behaviors. It has literaly become an economy where suffering has value and prestige, and is the foundation of the saftey industry.
