I have not felt really all that guilty, because most of the time I know the advantages of the methods and solutions I suggest. Joy is often a luxury, but I wish we would recognize it's necessity. After all, beyond covering our basic needs, what is the point of doing any work that doesn't give us joy and subsequently is done with without passion? Many people without any clear idea about software design are quickly dismissive, without understanding the implications properly. No idea whether Jon Ive is or is not too idealistic. I do not follow him or what he says or does.
