As much as I love the idea of the Raspberry Pi, until it has open video drivers it can't really be considered an open platform.
Anyone knows what is the status of that?
- reefab 14y agoIt'll probably never happen, from what I've gathered, even Broadcom doesn't have all the specs for the GPU.
- lunarscape 14y agoThere's also the hardware to consider. They posted a PDF of the schematics but no files or layout. They've promised to eventually but I haven't seen it yet.
