Amtrak still has service on that corridor. Apparently it was a convenient way to get to SF back in the day (via ferry). Of course most of Silicon Valley is closer to the San Francisco - Santa Cruz line, making the ferry service redundant. It’s too bad they ripped all this stuff out, and will never rebuild it!
