AI use damages professional reputation, study suggests
- homeonthemtn 1y agoMy colleagues and I use AI all the time. We use these tools to multiply individual efforts. Instead of researching frameworks to build a doc around, we generate one and start chunking data into it. Instead of analyzing single docs, we create a Claude project and load our docs in then query it like a database. It's akin to the invention of the sewing machine for tailors - new tool for old work, only of the white collar variety. As I put it to them "If I want to ride a bike, I don't want to build the bike to ride it" I don't think people truly understand just what AI can do besides make funny pictures. Which is ultimately their loss.
