I'm a rover driver / arm operator for Curiosity and we have several excellent tools that fit your description here at JPL. Chief among them, in my opinion, is RSVP Hyperdrive. See the 5th screenshot on https://www-robotics.jpl.nasa.gov/what-we-do/applications/user-interfaces/ https://www-robotics.jpl.nasa.gov/what-we-do/applications/us... . I'm also a developer on RSVP and have contributed bug fixes and features to Hyperdrive. I'm hopeful we can open-source it someday. (This is my opinion, not JPL or Caltech or NASA's opinion)
- nlh 1y agoThis is incredibly cool -- thank you for sharing!
- foobarbecue 1y agoYou know, I just took another look at that screenshot and realized it's from a 2012 build. We have added input and output constantly since then... so it's a lot more information dense now lol... probably twice as much "stuff" on screen. I guess it could be considered cluttered now, but I'll take that any day over programs with poor feature discoverability.
- sethlivingston 1y agoWe'd love to see updated screenshots if that's possible!
- foobarbecue 1y agoRSVP team members made a great video last November but looks like it never got publicly released. I will check on this on Monday. In the meantime, here's a more recent paper: https://robotics.jpl.nasa.gov/media/documents/IEEE_AERO_2023_RO_final_230110.pdf https://robotics.jpl.nasa.gov/media/documents/IEEE_AERO_2023... screenshots in there are focused on the newer "add-on" tools to RSVP -- not enough Hyperdrive for my taste!
- foobarbecue 1y agoActually, here's a powerpoint with some good screenshots that Frank Hartman did and got through our release system: https://files.aaroncurt.is/RSVP_Overview_2024_V2.pptx https://files.aaroncurt.is/RSVP_Overview_2024_V2.pptx
