Show HN: Test your typing speed and accuracy with movie scripts
- byzantinegene 1y agoanother day, another ai slop
- robofanatic 1y agoWas intrigued by reading the title but was disappointed immediately after seeing that this has nothing to do with TypeScript.
- faresahmed 1y agoSame here, the title even says "TypeScript" not "Typescript" but whatever. I think what's somehow interesting about this is in the footer of the page: Autonomously crafted in 15m 4s by Leap.new Could be some form of advertisement (with a click-baity title too? wouldn't be surprised if that also was AI-generated).
- amendegree 1y agoThe titles been changed, still show hn’s that don’t have the OP in here explaining what they did feel a little soulless.
- gamblor956 1y agoMust have been pretty expensive to license all these movie scripts. ...You did remember to license the screenplays, right? Movie scripts are the heart of what makes your product stand out, so you're unlikely to win a fair use defense if/when they sue you.
- seafoamteal 1y agoI mean, the game itself isn't making any money, but it seems like an ad for an AI coding platform (seeing as leap.new's webpage says it's still in beta) so you might actually have a point. They're probably not going to get sued but still.
- gamblor956 1y agoit seems like an ad for an AI coding platform That makes it more likely that they'll get sued, not less.
- areyourllySorry 1y agomonkeytype settings -> quote
- Agraillo 1y agofollow-up/spin-offs ideas about using the pieces of information important to your life * script of the movies you like to better remember/recall interesting quotes * the infamous spaced repetition method applied to this game would allow "two in one trening" I like reading about ideas even if they're half-cooked because they often inspire something else.
