I'm a fan of Biomejs (previously Romejs), they are trying to unify the whole toolchain into one single default. Have anyone used it and found any benefit?

- DanielHB 1y agoWe introduced it to our codebase last year Now have prettier, eslint and biomejs
- robertlagrant 1y agoNow you just need regex.

- rk06 1y agoRome tried, Biome is trying. Bun is trying, rsbuild is trying and voidzero (i.e. vite and friends) is halfway[0] there. I don't know when any if them will reach there. But at the moment, i don't think biome will reach it before bun, let alone vite. [0] I know voidzero is much closer, I am referring to this quote: "In a 100 step journey, 90th step is the halfway mark"
- thdhhghgbhy 1y agoVite is trying now too.
- rk06 1y agoI use voidzero and vite interchangeably in this context as they refer to same unified toolchain
- hombre_fatal 1y agohttps://parceljs.org/ https://parceljs.org/ is another. It even supports languages like `<script type="module" src="src/Main.elm">` out of the box which is pretty cool. IIRC it downloads necessarily plugins on the fly.

- sibeliuss 1y agoIts working great for us in our large codebase, but we're still waiting on embedded language support, and thus need to continue using prettier
