Location: Lyon, France
Remote: Yes. I prefer this way of working.
Willing to relocate: No.
Technologies: Go, Postgres, Linux/UNIX system administration, a dash of Rust, various other things (see CV). Latex if you need a researcher. I've dabbled a bit in Elixir and Clojure as well, and would be very keen to try working with those languages professionally, and I'm also always open to opportunities to improve my low-level skills with C, C++ and Rust.

I am currently working as a software engineer for a large web hosting company. I'm open to changing roles to work somewhere that will teach me something I want to learn and give me more freedom, both financially and in where and when I work. More precisely, I'm open to switching to a role where I can work more autonomously and remotely, and with good pay. I also greatly appreciate simplicity, which I feel is a criteria that can sometimes get forgotten at large tech companies.
I'm an excellent communicator, that is probably my greatest strength. In particular, I'm a very good writer, and do well in environments with lots of written communication. I'm curious, I'm honest, and I'm kind. My favorite feedback from a manager that I've gotten is that I get along with everyone. I greatly appreciate logical rigor, and make a sincere effort to regularly examine my beliefs, in order to discard useless or false ones. I have a solid mathematical background - my undergrad and master's were both in mathematics, with a specialization in theoratical computer science and discrete math, and I regularly practice maths, often with friends, for the fun of it. If you want someone you enjoy working with, and my current experience and abilties can be useful to you, I'd love to hear from you.
