I've been a Product Manager (PM) for about 8 years now. I currently work at a Big Tech company in Singapore where about a year ago I started an internal productivity app to help my fellow PMs write PRDs and make presentations using AI. We used a whole bunch of agents to research and review like a PM would. As the product got better and started to do more things (beyond writing PRDs) like generating product designs and even prototyping, I started to think hard about what the future Product Managers will do. Seeing a lot of nervousness within my own org and from members of a small product community that I run here in Singapore, I thought it might be a good idea to share my 2 cents about what the future will look like as Product Managers collaborate with AI, how product organizations will evolve, and most importantly what value will PMs create. This led me to start a book.
At the start I really doubted if I could write something that others might be interested in reading. However, now as I have completed about 80% of it, I am quite happy about how it has turned out.
Today, I am sharing with you the first chapter of this book. I would love to hear what this community thinks about it.
