- xienze 1y agoThey’re like any public institution when funding is cut. Before cuts: “really folks, the public funding we receive is barely anything at all, why even bother, it’s a rounding error in the big scheme of things.” During cuts: “WHAT ARE YOU DOING THIS IS GOING TO DESTROY US AND DOOM THE COUNTRY!”
- snozolli 1y agoAs the other commenter explained, CPB will survive, but the shave will kill some local stations that receive their funding. That's a severe impact for some areas, and something they obviously want to avoid.
- vel0city 1y agoLots of member stations are massively dependent on CPB. Without CBP funding those stations they'll go dark.
