I would love to see Amazon offer a Redis service, comply with the AGPLv3 instead of using the other Redis licensing options and do revenue sharing to incentivise more commercial source-available projects to go that route.
- antirez 2y agoMicrosoft does this.
- pabs3 2y agoInteresting, is there any more public info about this? If not, have you/Redis considered blogging about it?
- acmeian 2y agoIt was announced back in November: https://redis.io/blog/introducing-azure-managed-redis/ https://redis.io/blog/introducing-azure-managed-redis/
- pabs3 2y agoThat predates AGPL Redis, so doesn't sound like what I was talking about. Sounds more like a custom license given to Microsoft only.
