It's surprisingly difficult to get feedback. One way we get indirect feedback at Deplyr is by setting up funnels and tracking events to see where users are getting stuck. Then we directly reach out for feedback.
When I was building AskMyDocs.ai I had a "feedback" button on every page in the app. Users could just click it, type their feedback, and click submit. It would send me an email with their user info, the page they're on, and their feedback. I still get feedback this way even though I haven't been developing the app or advertising it for years now.

It will not only be more accurate than someone's recollection later, it will also be tied to a transaction or other logs and can be compared and analyzed with other transactions. It's important that the feedback doesn't take your user out of the flow. No popup windows, no long surveys.
