A more user friendly option would be to separate them into a hardware and a software company.
The hardware company would have to publish specs allowing anyone to offer operating systems running on Apple hardware.

- josefx 1y agoThat would just open an entire new can of worms to litigate for decades to come. For the near future the best we can hope for is that the courts continue to hit Apple on topics that have already been litigated to death.
