Do you work in the tech industry? In what part? Because from personal experience I've seen loads of companies wind down and remove internal teams like internal QA in favor of outsourcing to other regions, for example. It's made my job extremely annoying because I can't just tap the shoulder of my nearby QA engineer and see what's up, I have to wait an entire day for them to get the next build and then deal with the wrong stuff they've reported.
