I was really surprised that China isn't much bigger than the US. I always assumed it was about twice as large.
- maxglute 1y agoThe real surprise is ~95% lives on 1/3 of that land. Other 1/3 is plateau, 1/3 is desert. An extra dumb derrived stat I like is about ~25% of the worlds smokers are concentrated on ~0.6% of earth's land mass (that 1/3 of PRC).
