Hostile and political? Probably. It's also telling people the truth about how much Trump's policies are costing them, or at least costing them on those particular purchases. This is self-defense by Amazon. "Don't blame us that things got more expensive." But yes, it's also political (that's kind of inevitable when politics is the source of the additional cost).
