Thanks for sharing your experience with Perl. +1 I've never been biased towards one language or another. I always recommend using the right tool for the job. With that said, I built Crowdtilt using Perl and the main reason was because we needed to move fast. Now, that I am here I don't even want to use another language, but I will if I have to :).
