I’m a Musk fanboy. I drive a Tesla. And I generally try to balance the online debate when suddenly it’s okay to scratch swastikas into private people’s property. But to be perfectly clear: I would never ride a Robotaxi, either. Musk definitely ruined Tesla’s FSD reputation by over-selling FSD and cost-cutting the sensor quality. I use AutoSteer every time I’m on the highway. Because I know under what conditions it will definitely kill me. I just wouldn’t sit in a Tesla with someone at the wheel who is delusional about its capability. Any signal about the maturity of Tesla’s self-driving has been ruined by now. I’m not sure what could bring them back to credibility.
