The LLM doesn't magically know stuff you don't tell it. They CAN kinda-sorta fetch new information by reading the code or via MCP, but you still need to have a set of rules and documentation in place so that you don't spend half your credits on the LLM figuring out how to do something in your project.
- namaria 2y agoYou do understand that 'you're holding it wrong' is a cop out about some brittle system?
- theshrike79 2y agoIt’s also a reference to the fact that the intuitive way of using AI isn’t always the correct way. You need to hold it a bit weird.
- namaria 2y agoIf there is extra and 'weird' cognitive load to using the product that promises to bring it to zero, it's an indictment of that product.
- theshrike79 2y agoI'm sure driving cars was "weird" and unintuitive to people accustomed to horses. Touchscreen phones were weird for a long time. Now physical keyboards on phones are an expensive oddity. Things change, what is "normal" varies over time.
- namaria 2y agoAh yes the car vs horse cop out. You willfully ignored the bit where I said LLMs promise less cognitive load but end up increasing it.
