In our system, the rich will convince some of the poor that they _could_ be rich. Together, those groups will feed on the rest of the poor.
The rich have figured out how to deal with unionists, socialists, and communists. This is not the same as the previous gilded age.
- immibis 1y agoYep - the three-tiered pyramid. At the top you have the top. At the bottom you have the bottom. You already know those. In the middle, keeping the top and bottom from colliding, you have the people recruited from the bottom by the top, for the job of keeping the top and bottom separated, in exchange for being elevated out of the bottom, but not all the way to the top.
