One of my favorite creativities of composing on a typewriter (for both first & final drafts) is that I am encouraged to spend more time thinking about what I'll type before just blindly striking keys (i.e. I can't just cut/paste as-could on a computer). But even more importantly, the typewriter doesn't have pop-ups / suggestions / distractions.
