Its not your fault or your problem to fix.
The kind of people who can do something are all futzing about themselves for a long time now, so making everyone else feel responsible is just manipulative behavior to serve other purposes.
With increasingly complex, ever changing systems, where not everything is predictable or controllable (eg a hurricane), its been long known, that it doesn't matter too much what moves people with 3 inch chimp brains make or how they organize or what resources they have - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bounded_rationality https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bounded_rationality
Its not like the Media and the Political class don't know this.
But most of the current leaders grew up in a time, where the only way they were taught to handle unpredictability and unknowns, while maintaining authority, was to signal to everyone 24x7 that they could handle anything. So they are reacting on auto-pilot from decades of habit and you can safely ignore them the more complex any problem is.
Even without Trump and his buffoon class army, the more complex the problem, the less anything anyone or any group can actually do.
Which is why inspite of all the signaling of how great and brilliant people are, we still get the 2008 GFC or Covid or the Afghan-Iraq fiasco or Hillary loosing or all the negatives of Social Media/Attention Economy.
These are all examples of what happens when the upper limits of a goups problem solving capacities are ignored.
And the theory clearly says, don't act like there is a solution for complex stuff, cuz you will create new problems without solving the original problem. Instead focus on simple stuff, that you know you can solve. When everyone starts thinking that way, things change bottom up.
