Why Cursor's flat-fee pricing could lead to its downfall
- verdverm 2y agoMonthly fees for AI access is what holds me back from Cursor. I'm trying out VS Code free, but they are essentially the same pricing model last I checked. What I want is to pay-per-use, with some nominal / maximal upcharge to support their development. What Cursor / Copilot get right is the deep integration into the IDE that an extension will never be capable of. I'm only interested in VS Code based setups (OG or a fork like Cursor).
