If I just started the pomodoro (< 10 minute in) I will probably stop it and take care of whatever I need. If it's more than 10 minutes in, I will probably pause it and resume when I get back. I don't follow too strictly. I don't want to be stuck thinking about what to do. Roll with whatever works for you!
