- dfawcus 1y agoNot 'virtually', Scots is a different language to English, and Doric is a dialect of Scots. English and Scots are sibling languages, c.f. some of the geographically close Scandinavian languages. - gregorvand 1y agoThanks. I am Scottish originally and understand a lot of Scots. I guess I said 'virtually' since Gaelic is probably the only 'official' other language in Scotland but I agree Scots and Doric should be recognised as such.
