I dunno, you tell me. Are the royal you unable to ignore tech influencers? Who are 'tech influencers' and what do they influence? The RFC process? Google? Microsoft? Linus? RMS? The Open Group?

- p_ing 2y agoWhat influencers shape government policy? Or do you consider the CEOs/ultra wealthy among 'influencers', as I've never seen the term applied that way. I wouldn't think back that Ford was an automotive influencer, for example.
- reverendsteveii 2y agoto pretend that elon musk isn't a tech influencer is purposely trying to punch an elon musk-shaped hole into the definition of influencer. not every CEO or billionaire is an influencer but he is and he's having a pretty outsized effect on government policy inasmuch as he gets to make it up whole cloth now
