Pentagon's 'SWAT team of nerds' resigns en masse

- contemporary343 2y agoIn light of all of their actions, I really, genuinely do not understand what DOGE team members' mental model of the world is and what they view their purpose as. None of these actions align with any publicly stated goals, or even the privately reported ones. All I see is a destruction of state capacity that has already left America significantly weakened and less capable of responding to threats.
- anigbrowl 2y agoThey're groypers, so your view of them as virtual arsonists is entirely grounded and sufficient.
- toomuchtodo 2y agoAbsolute power and control. "An evil enemy will burn his own nation to the ground to rule over the ashes."
- quantified 2y agoThen you do understand their mental model. Their purpose is the outcome they are delivering.

- Mr_Eri_Atlov 2y agoCongrats to every republican on further weakening America's defenses
- passing_by_and 2y agoIn what way does it make America weaker?
- howard941 2y agoAssuming this was asked in good faith, I'll answer it as such. It weakens us by knocking out experienced and talented DoD employees.

- passing_by_and 2y agoDo we need more? There are literally millions of DoD employees. Nothing presented here (in this or related articles) is convincing. Typical FUD.
- KittenInABox 2y agoSpinning down the team made to bring silicon valley innovation to defense is deeply problematic when the accusations is that DoD is inefficient.
- passing_by_and 2y agoWhat innovation? Eliminating these positions harms nothing and is just part of the standard propaganda campaign we always see whenever anything DoD related gets looked at sideways.
- JumpCrisscross 2y agoYou don’t see why we want to “counter adversarial drones?” Put it another way. What would we have paid to have an Elon Musk in Beijing or Moscow ten years ago?
