Apparently I'm screwed; I cut it off the cob in sheets.
So I guess that means I don't care about efficiency, but need things super neat and orderly. I have always liked Prolog though...
- anonymous 14y agoYou obviously favour perl.
- SwellJoe 14y ago"Neat and orderly" makes you think Perl? I absolutely love Perl, but "neat and orderly" is not the first thing that comes to mind. I think you'd need to have some sort of literary preference indicator (something like how you brush your teeth indicates whether you like Hemingway or Steinbeck, and Perl or Java), rather than a mathematical preference indicator, to determine one's propensity for Perl.
- m0nastic 14y agoThere's no reason to be mean. ;)
- nhangen 14y agoSame here. Everyone always thought it was strange. I just thought it was less messy.
- brooksbp 14y agoseems algebraic to me
- MaysonL 14y agoPoint set topology?
- rdtsc 14y agoClose to the logician from the article then? -- Kind of doing your own thing, not even in between the two techniques, just completely outside the box.
- msg 14y agoYou prefer to make mathematical discoveries using automated theorem provers. It occurs to me that these would make hilarious fortune cookies.
- froo 14y agoI'm a vertical man myself. I turn the corn on its side so the cylindrical part is going up/down and bite downwards. I do it so that the kernels come off cleanly and don't get stuck in your teeth (very similar to cutting them off). I wonder where that puts me?
- randallsquared 14y agoIt's not clear to me how that would work unless you can unhinge your jaw. :)
- jff 14y agoWhat's your chin doing in all this? I would think you'd be bumping either your chin or your nose (or both) against the cob as you eat this way. This whole discussion has made me hungry for some corn on the cob with nice butter and salt, damn.
- redthrowaway 14y agoIt doesn't have any impact on your predilection for algebra or analysis, it just makes you a heathen heretic who doesn't understand the greatness of corn on the cob. Unless you have dental issues, or are 6, the corn is to be eaten on the cob.
