I built a site with free utility tools – looking for ideas beyond the usual
- anticol 2y agoI recently launched https://freeutilitytools.com https://freeutilitytools.com — a collection of free tools like text formatters, number converters, age calculators, etc. The goal is to solve simple, everyday problems without ads, logins, or distractions. But I don’t want it to end up as another generic “tools everyone has” site. What are some uncommon or underappreciated tools you wish existed? Curious to hear your thoughts — whether it’s niche calculators, developer tools, or weird-but-useful utilities.
- Zambyte 2y agoCool ideas. Some other tools that may be useful are hour/minute difference calculator, in addition to the date difference calculator. Timezone conversation may also be good. Some additional feedback I have is that scrolling on the site was choppy on my recent and fairly high powered android tablet. Certainly high powered enough to render a static page like the home page. Also the domain name age look up doesn't work for any domain I tried. It just returns a JSON parsing error.
